Chef Rosana & Chef Ricardo have been delivering premier catering and dining experiences in the Tampa Bay area for the past 17 years. This duo has been the powerhouse behind Tampa’s most popular restaurants in the past 10 years, including Piquant, Xilo, Kofe & Chef & the Baker

Over the course of their careers Chef Rosana & Chef Ricardo have been featured in Tampa Bay Business Journal, Tampa Bay Metro, Creative Loafing, Tampa Bay Times, and
Friends of the James Beard Foundation, winning several awards and business recognitions. Most recently, Chef Rosana competed with Chef Ricardo in Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay, advancing to face Bobby Flay and beating him with her signature beef empanadas. The winning recipe is featured in Flay’s 2021 cookbook Beat Bobby Flay, Conquer the Kitchen with 100+ Battle Tested Recipes Chef Rosana has also been featured in the TODAY show and People en Espanol. Not to be outshined, Chef Ricardo is one of the featured competitors in Disney+ Foodtastic.

spent five years traveling and crafting her foodie palette as Coin USA’s VP of Sales in Latin America. In 2006 she opened her first business and left the corporate world. While building her business, Rivera furthered her education and obtained her AA Culinary Arts from Arts Institute Tampa. Rivera’s MBA in Business Sustainability from Marylhurst University soon followed.

Chef Ricardo

Castro, a Culinary Institute of America Graduate, joined in 2012, adding French pastries and bread to the company’s epicure-inspired offerings. In 2013 the duo opened Piquant in Hyde Park Village and West Tampa, followed in 2018 with Xilo Mexican, Chef & the Baker, and Kofe espresso bar at the Hall on Franklin in Tampa Heights. In 2020 they opened our current kitchen, a wholesale, catering & ghost kitchen concept in Clearwater
